Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, professionally known as Portable, has made controversial, threatening statements to gain political support.
In a viral video, the singer was seen summoning traditional deities as he encouraged people to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Portable disclosed that he is now associated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), alleging that he was given branded palliatives to share with supporters.
Portable also warned Yorubas to vote for the president for his second term, alleging that the country might witness war if Tinubu is not reelected.
”We need peace, we want peace. If you don’t want war in Nigeria, you’d better vote for Tinubu,” he said. He also added, “Thunder and Ogun will strike any Yoruba man who doesn’t. I have been signed, given APC clothes — don’t worry, I will soon start sharing rice and vegetable oil,” he noted.
