The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said it’s opening its doors to partners who share its vision of “rescuing” Nigeria, as insecurity and economic hardship deepen under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

National Chairman Sen. David Mark told the party’s 2nd National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja on Wednesday that the ADC must position itself as a credible alternative by staying united, disciplined and focused on ordinary Nigerians.

“Nigerians are yearning for purposeful leadership, equity, justice and a government that truly serves the people,” Mark said. “We must continue to work with like-minded individuals and groups who share our vision… The time for collaboration, constructive engagement, and strategic alignment is now.”

He praised state chairmen who have pursued dialogue despite internal pressures and warned that unity is “non-negotiable.” Mark said the APC has shown itself incapable of tackling “unabating insecurity, kidnapping and violence,” which he described as now treated as normal.

Calling the party’s task “moral and historic,” he urged NEC members to strengthen internal structures, expand grassroots reach and rise above personal interests. “The journey ahead may be demanding, but with unity, discipline and commitment, victory is assured,” he added.
