YeAhead of the 2027 presidential election, a support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Tinubu Youth Vanguard Organisation, has pledged to deliver over 10 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring its readiness to mobilise grassroots support across the nation.

The commitment was made during the commissioning of the group’s new campaign office and the unveiling of six vehicles designated for the six geopolitical zones.

Head of Mobilization and Support Group of the APC, Ambassador Salisu Yahaya Alfa, who presided over the event, framed the initiative as a direct response to the President’s performance.

He cited achievements such as student loan disbursements, efforts to tackle insecurity, and improved economic accessibility as reasons for the group’s confidence.

“If there was no reason, this young man would not be doing what he is doing today,” Ambassador Alfa said, adding that the group is leveraging its registered members to strengthen the President’s re-election bid, stating that they are set to mobilise the promised votes by God’s grace.

The organisation, which describes itself as a grassroots political support body, aims to connect government initiatives with citizens across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas, focusing on youth mobilisation and voter education.

The director – general of the APC Support Group Council, Sadiq Abubakar Jikta, clarified that the group’s proactive efforts were not at the behest of the administration.

“This initiative was started without our prompting. We only encouraged them to do more so that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can secure more votes.

“With these vehicles, we now have greater capacity to reach all zones. That is the essence of this effort, ensuring his re-election victory in the 2027 general election,” he said.

He commended the group’s level of preparation, noting that it represents a strong commitment to the President’s second term and will significantly boost grassroots engagement.

Similarly, Hon. Innocent Egede, director general of the Tinubu Youth Vanguard Organisation, underscored the initiative as a cornerstone of nation-building.

He called on young Nigerians to actively participate in the political process rather than remain on the sidelines.

“I want to send a message to Nigerian youths: do not stand on the sidelines. Get your PVC. Vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Vote for APC. I believe that if we do this, we will set our country on the path of growth and prosperity,” he said.

He described the group’s endorsement as a vote of confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and ongoing reforms, adding that the organisation is committed to rallying Nigerians in support of his vision for a more prosperous nation.
