The Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Peter Mrakpor, has declared there is no court injunction restraining the party from holding its national convention scheduled for March 29th–30th, 2026, in Abuja.
Mrakpor, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), made this clarification amid growing speculations and circulating rumours suggesting that the convention may be stalled by legal challenges.
He firmly dismissed such claims, describing them as false and misleading.
According to him, all necessary arrangements for the convention remain intact, stressing that the party is fully prepared to proceed as planned without any legal hindrance.
The Delta PDP chairman urged all delegates from the state to disregard what he termed “rumour mongers” and ensure their full participation at the convention in Abuja.
He further warned that those spreading misinformation are enemies of the party, whose aim is to create confusion and undermine the PDP’s internal processes.
Mrakpor reaffirmed the party’s commitment to a successful and hitch free convention, emphasizing that there is no court order stopping the exercise.
“Our convention will hold as scheduled. There is no court injunction. The claims are false and misleading,” Marakpor stated.
