Nigerian-British actor Chinwetel Ejiofor and award-winning Norwegian actress Renate Reinsve are leading the upcoming horror film ‘Backrooms’, set to release in theatres on May 29, 2026.
The film poster, released a day before its official trailer, shows Ejiofor and Reinsve trapped in the backrooms, while a strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom.
‘Backrooms’ is the feature directorial debut of YouTube prodigy Kane Parsons, based on his 2022 creepypasta-inspired viral video series, which has amassed over 190 million views to date.
