Ultimum Limited’s new manufacturing plant in Aba, Abia State, has promised a major boost to the local economy, creating jobs, empowering communities, and strengthening supply chains across Nigeria’s South-East and South-South regions.
The company commissioned its new beverage manufacturing plant in Aba, as part of efforts to expand its operations and strengthen its presence in Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods sector.
The facility, located in the Osisioma Industrial Layout, will produce variants of the company’s Razzl brand of carbonated soft drinks, including Razzl Pamplemousse, Razzl Cola, Razzl Orange and Razzl Lemon.
The company said the plant is expected to create jobs, support local businesses and enhance supply chains across the South-East and South-South regions, with plans to expand distribution nationwide.
Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, who commissioned the plant, described the investment as a sign of renewed economic activity and growing investor confidence in the state.
He said the project reflects the state government’s efforts to create an enabling environment for businesses through improved policies and infrastructure.
Chairman of Ultimum Limited, Whalen Kadji, said the company’s decision to invest in Aba was driven by the city’s long-standing reputation as a commercial hub.
He noted that the project represents a long-term commitment to local industry development, job creation and economic growth.
Managing director of Ultimum Limited, Austin Ufomba, said the new facility aligns with the company’s goal of producing world-class products within Africa.
He added that the plant would serve as a platform for innovation and contribute to opportunities for young people and the surrounding communities.
Ultimum Limited said the commissioning marks a significant step in its expansion strategy and underscores its ambition to compete in Nigeria’s beverage market through wider distribution and product offerings.
