Former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi has criticised Argentina international Enzo Fernandez for comments regarding a potential move to Real Madrid.
Fernandez has recently expressed a desire to play for the Spanish giants, who are reportedly keen on signing him this summer, prioritising him over Manchester City’s Rodri.
Mikel, however, took issue with Fernandez’s public declaration. “This is Chelsea, not a stepping stone to another team. If your heart is already in Madrid, you shouldn’t wear the blue jersey,” Mikel was quoted by AS. “At Chelsea, we played for the coat of arms, not for a future transfer…”
