A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former chief of staff to the Lagos State government, Otunba Samuel Olukunle Ojo, has solicited support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a visionary leader whose legacy of service and reform continues to shape Nigeria’s development trajectory.

Ojo, in a statement marking the President’s birthday, said Tinubu’s life reflects “a story of sacrifice, resilience and an enduring belief in the promise of Nigeria.”

“I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating a visionary leader… a leader whose courage, foresight and unwavering commitment to nation-building continue to shape the destiny of our great country,” he said.‎‎

Reflecting on his time working with Tinubu during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, Ojo noted that the experience offered him rare insight into the President’s leadership style.

“Having had the rare privilege of working closely with you during your tenure as Governor of Lagos State, I witnessed firsthand your exceptional leadership, your strategic insight and your remarkable ability to discover and nurture talent,” he stated,” he said.

Ojo credited Tinubu with laying the foundation for Lagos State’s transformation into a model of governance and economic growth, noting that the reforms initiated during his administration remain impactful.‎‎

“You laid the foundation for the transformation of Lagos into a model of governance, bold reforms and economic growth, a legacy that continues to stand the test of time,” he added.‎‎

He further described Tinubu’s political journey from Lagos to the presidency as a testament to decades of commitment to democratic ideals and progressive governance.‎‎

“Your journey from Lagos to the presidency is a testament to a lifetime devoted to democratic ideals, progressive governance and national development,” Ojo said.‎‎
