Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign highly-rated Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane, with the Gunners preparing an official bid for the 19-year-old Cameroonian international.

According to his agent, Eric Depolo, Arsenal are already in contact with Kofane’s representatives and are poised to table an offer. Leverkusen are understood to be seeking a fee in the region of €60m-€70m for the promising centre forward.

Kofane has attracted significant attention with his performances in Germany, and Arsenal’s proactive approach suggests they are keen to secure his services amidst competition from other top European clubs. Should the deal materialise, it would represent a significant investment in the club’s attacking future.
