Zenith Bank/NBBF League: MFM, Customs, ASO SKY, Victoria Queens Seal Final 8 Spots

MFM, Nigeria Customs, ASO SKY Queens and Victoria Queens have secured places in the Final 8 of the 2026 NBBF/Zenith Bank Women’s Premier League after impressive performances across the two phases of the competition.

Two-time league champions MFM Women’s Basketball Team have been the standout side in the Atlantic Conference, maintaining a perfect record throughout the season.

MFM won all seven games during the First Phase in Lagos and followed that up with four victories in the Second Phase in Port Harcourt, leaving them firmly at the top of the Atlantic Conference standings.

Victoria Queens and First Bank have also secured their places in the Final 8 from the Atlantic Conference, joining MFM in booking their tickets to Lagos for the decisive phase of the competition.

In the Savannah Conference, Nigeria Customs completed both phases unbeaten to finish top of the standings.

Customs rounded off the Second Phase at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, with a convincing 60-42 victory over ASO SKY Queens. The result confirmed Customs as conference winners, while ASO SKY finished second to also qualify for the Final 8.

Air Warriors and Titans claimed the remaining two qualification places from the Savannah Conference.

Titans secured their place with a 54-31 victory over Plateau Rocks on Wednesday, while Air Warriors defeated Nasarawa Amazons 76-45 to complete the Savannah Conference line-up.

Nasarawa Amazons endured a particularly difficult campaign, failing to record a victory across the two phases.

The Final 8 line-up means MFM, Victoria Queens, First Bank, Nigeria Customs, ASO SKY Queens, Air Warriors and Titans have so far secured their places in the decisive phase, with the competition set to determine the 2026 NBBF/Zenith Bank Women’s Premier League champions.

Defending champions Dolphins, meanwhile, will not have the opportunity to defend their crown after being eliminated following a disappointing campaign across the two phases.

With the Final 8 now taking shape, attention will turn to Lagos, where the qualified teams will battle for the coveted league title and supremacy in Nigerian women’s basketball.
