National Vice Chairman (North Central) of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, has said the party’s stakeholders in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are united to deliver President Bola Tinubu and other candidates at the 2027 general election.

Rijau stated this while addressing journalists after a meeting with APC stakeholders in the FCT at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

The meeting was attended by the minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Zephaniah Jisalo; Senator Philip Aduda, the member representing Abuja Municipal Area Council/Bwari Federal Constituency of FCT, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, among other stakeholders.

The APC North Central chairman, said unlike what happened in the 2023 general election, Tinubu and other candidates’ chances in the 2027 polls were more brighter.

He said the meeting dwelt on the unity of the party in the nation’s capital, adding that APC gives equal opportunities to both old and new members.

“The FCT APC has come to stand in a full force. You can see the grassroots politicians in the meeting. That tells you that the chances of Mr president is even brighter this time around, and all other elections.

“I assure you, we have come together, we have closed ranks, we have gone back to the drawing board to ensure that APC wins every election in the FCT.

“Based on the comments of all the participants of the meeting, I have confidence that the sky is our limit. We have agreed, we have reconciled and that is to tell you that we are ready for action.

“In fact, one of the key areas we dwell on is unity and we all agreed to fall back to the various wards and area councils to ensure that we bring all the stakeholders on board.

“In fact, the issue of discrimination is not in the APC. We have given them a target, we have given them guidelines to fall back on and ensure that all stakeholders in the various area councils and wards participate in the process,”Rijau added.

Also speaking, the Special Duties Minister, said the APC stakeholders in FCT have resolved to work together for the re-election of President Tinubu and victory of the party’s candidates in next year’s general election.

“We want to move forward so that we can have 2027 election smoothly, deliver our president, deliver our senators and the House of Representatives. That is the essence of this meeting.

“I believe all the party leadership from the ward, from the local government and to the state will all agree to deliver our president. That is the plan of this country. So let me assure the residents of FCT and even Nigerians that we will deliver our president.

Jisalo further stressed that going by APC’s constitution and guidelines, both old and new members have equal stakes in the affairs of the party.

“Even if you enter the party today, you’ll be treated just like those who have entered the party five or ten years ago. So the party is inclusive and that is the essence of this meeting.

“So everybody is included and we are going to give all sorts of responsibilities, all sorts of inclusiveness to make sure that we carry ourselves…,” he added.
