Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has sparked a wave of online conversation after sharing a vulnerable message about her personal challenges and her reliance on faith to navigate life’s uncertainties.

The billionaire daughter and international DJ took to social media to encourage her followers to swap worry for divine direction. Drawing inspiration from Matthew 6:26, Cuppy used the pigeons of London as a relatable metaphor for God’s provision.

“I find myself worrying, and a Bible verse that has always helped me is Matthew 6:26. It is the ultimate reminder that you have nothing to worry about,” she shared. “Look at the pigeons. They do not harvest, they do not plant, yet somehow they are alive, and God provides for them. Talk less of you.”

Acknowledging the scepticism her background often attracts, Cuppy admitted that while her life may look perfect from the outside, she is dealing with significant hurdles behind the scenes. She revealed that several aspects of her public and private life have “not gone according to plan,” but emphasised that she is learning to ask God for direction rather than just solutions.

The message has received mixed reactions from the Nigerian digital community. While some fans praised her for her transparency and spiritual depth, others argued that her financial security makes it difficult for her to truly understand the “worry” associated with the average Nigerian’s struggle for survival.

Despite the debate, DJ Cuppy remains steadfast in her message of faith, recently doubling down on her gratitude for family by celebrating her mother, Nana Otedola, and acknowledging the sacrifices made for her upbringing.
