Nigerian-Canadian actress Sunshine Rosman opens up about the state of affairs in Nigeria, specifically insecurity and economic hardship.

In a poignant post she made online, Sunshine mentioned recent terrorist attacks, saying that it was devastating and distressing as she questioned the country’s leadership in creating safety for its citizens. Sunshine also pointed out that natives of certain areas in Northern Nigeria are forced to run away from their homes for fear of assault, wondering when Nigerians would face the problem head-on.

“We can’t even begin to talk about the economy right now, the poverty rate, the lack of infrastructure in this country. But as if that’s not bad enough, innocent people are being slaughtered,” she said, adding that lives are being lost for nothing, with people fleeing their homes because they know nothing will be done in terms of their safety.

The ‘When Love Strikes’ actress also encouraged Nigerians to speak up about the hardship, lamenting that Nigeria’s hardship, insecurity and suffering can no longer be overlooked.
