FIFA has announced the nationwide route and official partners for “Canada Celebrates”, a landmark fan engagement programme set to bring the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to communities across Canada.

The initiative, described as a first-of-its-kind, will travel to 38 stops in 34 communities from coast to coast to coast, ensuring that more than 75 per cent of Canadian residents are within a two-hour drive of a host location. It aims to extend the atmosphere of the World Cup beyond the official host cities of Toronto and Vancouver.

Running throughout the tournament from 11 June to 19 July, with additional pre-tournament stops on 1 and 5 June, the programme will feature live match screenings, football-themed activities, cultural showcases, music and food events, as well as community celebrations. It will also align with the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola.

With backing from the Government of Canada, municipalities and key stakeholders, the tour will span all provinces and one territory, reaching locations from Whitehorse to Halifax and from Kamloops to Niagara Falls.

FIFA’s commercial partners — including Coca-Cola, Kia, Michelob Ultra, Hisense, McDonald’s and The Home Depot — alongside media partner Bell Media, will support the initiative by delivering accessible fan experiences nationwide.

FIFA Vice-President and Concacaf President Vittorio Montagliani said the programme would allow Canadians to share in the World Cup experience regardless of their location.

“As a Canadian, it is incredibly meaningful to bring a taste of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to communities across the country and ensure residents can be part of this historic moment,” he said. “Beyond hosting matches, this tournament will create a lasting legacy for football in Canada, inspiring future generations.”

Canada’s Secretary of State for Sport, Adam van Koeverden, also welcomed the initiative, highlighting its role in uniting communities and strengthening national pride.

“Sport has the power to bring people together, and this tour will help Canadians feel part of this historic occasion,” he said. “We are proud to support this initiative so Canadians can celebrate and cheer on Team Canada.”

Ahead of the tournament, “Canada Celebrates” will feature prominently in the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour from 9 April to 26 May, offering fans the opportunity to see the iconic trophy in cities including Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal, Halifax, Ottawa and Toronto.

The 2026 World Cup, to be co-hosted by Canada, the United States and Mexico, will be the largest in history, featuring 48 teams and 104 matches across 16 host cities.

FIFA said further details of stop-specific programming for “Canada Celebrates” will be announced in due course.
