Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for academy graduates Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly when the summer transfer window opens, with a combined asking price of £100 million, according to the BBC (via GIVEMESPORT).
Both youngsters have found it difficult to secure regular starting roles since breaking into the first team at the Emirates. Lewis-Skelly has lost his left-back spot to Riccardo Calafiori, while Nwaneri was sent on loan to Marseille in January.
Nwaneri’s loan spell has since turned sour. He has struggled for form in recent weeks and failed to become a consistent starter for the French side.
The sacking of head coach Roberto De Zerbi has further limited his playing time, making the move look like a failed experiment so far.
Despite their difficulties, both players are attracting significant interest. As homegrown academy products, any transfer fee would count as pure profit on Arsenal’s books, offering a major financial incentive to sell.
The Gunners are hoping to secure around £100 million for the pair combined. Premier League clubs in the top half are reportedly keen on Lewis-Skelly, while Nwaneri has drawn interest from England and German side Borussia Dortmund.
Offloading two homegrown talents would be a bold — and potentially unpopular — move by Arsenal, as selling academy graduates rarely sits well with the fanbase.
