The National Executive Committee of Okun Development Association (ODA) has announced its intention to address a world press conference to rally support for the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, on the recent call for his resignation from office by the Shari’a Council of Nigeria and, recently, the opposition political parties.

In a statement issued on Friday, signed by the President-General of ODA, Ambassador Akenson Femi Rotimi, the event was scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 14th April, 2026, by 3 p.m. at Haris Hotel, Wuye, Abuja.

ODA, a socio-cultural organization speaking for Okun people in Kogi State, said it cannot fold its arms to allow a barrage of attacks on their illustrious son over the national assignment he is committed to.
