Belgian powerhouse Club Brugge are reportedly among a host of clubs monitoring the impressive displays of Nigerian prodigy Zadok Yohanna, according to voetbalnieuws.

The 18-year-old right-winger, currently plying his trade for Swedish outfit AIK, has already made a significant impact, bagging 4 goals and 2 assists in just 12 appearances. He represents one of many African talents thriving in Sweden, a nation that has long served as a crucial stepping stone for players from the continent.

Club Brugge, who were runners-up in the 1977-78 UEFA Champions Cup, have been thoroughly impressed by Yohanna’s performances. However, they face stiff competition, with several other prominent European clubs, including Ajax and Chelsea, understood to have added him to their transfer wish lists.

Yohanna is contracted to AIK until December 31, 2029, meaning Club Brugge would need to table a substantial offer. Recent years have seen young talents from the Swedish league command transfer fees ranging from €9 million to €20 million.

Born and raised in Bauchi, Nigeria, Yohanna honed his skills at the Ikon Allah Football Academy before being snapped up by AIK in 2025. Following his move to Sweden, Yohanna quickly integrated into the club’s setup, making his first-team breakthrough during the 2026 season.

Yohanna is lauded for his technical ability, blistering pace, and creative attacking flair, and is widely considered a player of immense promise with significant potential for further development. A left-footed player, he predominantly operates on the right wing but is also adept at playing in an attacking midfield role.
