Following the prolonged war against insecurity in Zamfara State, an APC stakeholder has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to step up the battle against banditry in Northern Nigeria, especially in Zamfara State.

A statement signed by Aminu Lawal, an aspirant, House of Representatives, Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency, said, “Security is not a temporary event but a continuous commitment. To ensure this operation results in lasting peace rather than a temporary retreat by the criminal elements, I call for the momentum to be sustained while expanding the scope of the campaign across the state.”

“I also urge the Commander-in-Chief to ensure the protection and safety of innocent civilians who may be caught in the crossfire or displaced by the campaign or reprisal attacks.

“I call on the people of Gusau/Tsafe to remain vigilant and continue supporting our security agencies with the actionable intelligence they need,” Lawal Stressed.

Honourable Aminu Lawal noted that the recent military campaign in Kunchin Kalgo and environs in Tsafe Local Government against banditry, which has long plagued communities, is a necessary and welcome intervention.
