Nigerian stand-up comedian Bovi Ugboma, 46, and South African actress and accountant Nomzamo Mbatha have been picked to present the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
The upcoming 12th AMVCA is scheduled for May 9, 2026, at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.
The former presenter and host, IK Osakioduwa, is stepping back from the show after 11 years.
The organisers of the awards programme have noted on Instagram that Bovi and Mbatha were selected because of their global appeal and stage presence across Africa. While Bovi is famous for his stand-up comedy, Mbatha is recognised for her acting and charity work.
“A master of wit and narrative, and a global icon of screen and advocacy. This is where mastery meets African excellence,” the organisers said of the selected pair.
The nominees for this year’s awards have already been announced, and famous Nigerian Veteran actress Joke Silva will be the head judge of the event.
