He explained that his statement was rooted in her belief that happiness is not something one partner can create for another. According to him, while a relationship can bring love, laughter, comfort, and emotional support, it cannot be the sole source of a person’s happiness.
He further emphasised that true happiness comes from within and requires personal effort, self-awareness, and emotional growth. In his view, expecting a partner to fully “make you happy” places unrealistic pressure on the relationship.
