The Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has called for stronger collaboration between the Federal Government, security agencies, and local stakeholders to decisively tackle insecurity in the state.

Speaking at the Kogi State Security Summit, Governor Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing that security remains the bedrock of sustainable development.

The Governor noted that while the Federal Government has continued to demonstrate support in the fight against insecurity, there is a pressing need for deeper synergy among all stakeholders to effectively confront emerging threats.

He emphasized that his administration would not tolerate criminality in any form, assuring citizens that decisive and tougher actions would be taken against those seeking to undermine the peace of the state.

Governor Ododo also highlighted ongoing efforts by his government to strengthen community-based security architecture, improve intelligence gathering, and invest in logistics to support security agencies across the state.

He urged traditional rulers, community leaders, and citizens to play active roles by providing timely and credible information to security operatives, noting that security is a collective responsibility.

According to him, the summit provides a critical platform for stakeholders to share ideas, align strategies, and build a unified front against criminal elements.

Governor Ododo expressed confidence that, with sustained collaboration and commitment, Kogi State will continue to record significant progress in ensuring safety and stability.
