Mamman dropped the hint when he spoke on the school’s performance since he took over as its vice chancellor. He said, “It is awaiting the president to append his signature and when this is approved, we’ll make sure that we have an FM radio at UMYU, Katsina to ensure that we reach out to the common man in the language they understand better.”

The vice chancellor added that in 2020, the school received about N3.2 billion TETfund intervention which was used to construct the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Special Education and School of Continue Education among others.

He said the state governor Aminu Bello Masari has constructed about 80-number of three-bedroom houses, now used as housing units for the Staff, adding that aside from the prompt payment of salaries, the school also gave N20 million revolving loans to its staff.
