Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Uche Montana’s new movie, Monica 2, has hit 4.3 million views on YouTube within 24 hours of its release.
The sequel, according to Nairametrics, has
generated approximately 4,403,874 views within its first 15 hours after debuting on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
This has surpassed Monica’s early performance and reinforces the filmmaker’s influence in Nollywood’s digital distribution space.
Uche Montana had earlier celebrated hitting 1.3 million views just four hours after release, signalling strong initial audience demand for the film.
The latest figures position Monica 2 as one of the fastest-growing Nollywood titles on YouTube in recent times.
According to Nairametrics, the first instalment, Monica, crossed 13 million views within two weeks of its March 7, 2026, premiere on her YouTube channel.
The movie averaged nearly one million views daily which highlights a consistent and expanding digital audience base for Montana’s productions.
