Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has commended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume and other stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state who honoured his invitation to the reconciliation meeting held at the New Banquet Hall of Government House, Makurdi on Sunday.
The governor noted that the presence of key party leaders, āincluding the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, former Governor of the state, Sen. Gabriel Suswam and his Deputy, Chief Stephen Lawani, past and serving members of the National Assembly, All members of the Benue State House of Assembly, serving federal government appointees, and other critical stakeholders, underscores a shared commitment to the unity, stability, and progress of the party in the stateā
The statement issued by the governorās Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, on Monday, Alia while expressed optimism that the resolutions reached will introduce and welcome a new phase of peace, oneness, and unison among members of the APC in Benue State.
The governor, however, urged all stakeholders and their supporters to sustain the momentum by embracing dialogue, mutual respect, and collective responsibility in advancing the interests of the party.
