The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has directed the immediate implementation of promotions for civil servants across the state, effective from May 2026.

The directive, according is part of ongoing efforts by the administration to enhance workforce morale, reward diligence, and improve overall efficiency within the state civil service.

The move will ensure that eligible civil servants who have met the necessary requirements are duly promoted without further delay, in line with established public service rules.

The governor emphasized the importance of a motivated and productive workforce in driving the state’s development agenda, noting that timely promotions remain a critical component of good governance and administrative efficiency.

The implementation is expected to positively impact service delivery across ministries, departments, and agencies, while also reinforcing the government’s commitment to the welfare of its workforce.
