A US court has found actor Nick Pasqual guilty of attempted murder following a brutal knife attack on his estranged girlfriend, a Hollywood makeup artist, in May 2024.
Pasqual, a 36-year-old known for his minor roles in television series such as How I Met Your Mother, was convicted of the violent assault that occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on May 23, 2024, in the victim’s Los Angeles home. Prosecutors proved that the actor broke into the Sunland residence and stabbed the woman multiple times, leaving her in critical condition.
The victim had previously filed a restraining order against Pasqual just days before the attack. Following the stabbing, Pasqual attempted to flee the country but was intercepted by border patrol agents at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas, on May 29, 2024.
The court heard harrowing testimony regarding the extent of the victim’s injuries, which required multiple surgeries and intensive care. In addition to attempted murder, the jury found Pasqual guilty of first-degree residential burglary and injuring a spouse.
Pasqual now faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled on June 2 to determine the final duration of his incarceration.
