Paulo Dybala has admitted uncertainty surrounds his future at AS Roma, raising speculation that he may have already played his final home derby for the Italian club.
The Argentine forward made the revelation after Roma’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Parma in Serie A, a result that significantly boosted the club’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Speaking after the match, Dybala revealed that Roma have yet to approach him regarding his long-term future, despite growing uncertainty surrounding his contract situation.
“The truth is, I would like to know something myself, but the club haven’t approached me yet,” Dybala told Sky Italia.
“The contract says the derby will probably be my last match in front of the Roma fans. We will see what happens at the end of the season.”
The 32-year-old joined Roma from Juventus FC in 2022 and quickly became one of the club’s most influential players. He helped Roma reach the Europa League final during his debut campaign and has remained a key figure whenever fit.
However, injuries have once again disrupted his season. Dybala struggled with recurring hamstring problems before undergoing knee surgery in March, an operation that sidelined him for almost four months.
Despite his fitness challenges, the Argentine continues to play a decisive role for Roma. He registered an assist in the win over Parma as the club moved level on points with fourth-placed AC Milan in the race for Champions League qualification.
Dybala stressed that the squad remain fully committed to securing a top-four finish before the season concludes.
“We have shown the determination and desire we have to secure a Champions League place,” he said. “We know it does not depend solely on us, but we will fight until the end.”
With the summer transfer window approaching, uncertainty over Dybala’s future is expected to attract major attention across European football.
