Plateau Constitutes Committee To Harmonise Issues Raised Before Tinubu

The Plateau State Government has inaugurated a high-powered sub-committee to harmonise issues raised during the recent meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

‎Governor Caleb Mutfwang, while inaugurating the committee at the Twin Theatre, New Government House, Rayfield, Jos said the initiative is aimed at articulating a coordinated framework for future engagements with the Presidency and other relevant federal government institutions in the overall interest of the State.

‎According to the statement issued by the state commissioner for Information and Communication Rt. Hon. Joyce Ramnap said the chairman of the committee is Chief Joshua Dariye, while other members are Pauline Tallen, Sheikh Ghazali Ismail Adam,
‎Bishop Jwan Zumbes and Hon. Sani Muazu.

‎Others members according to the statement are Rev. Gideon Para Malla, Hon. Sani Suleiman Maigoro, Barr. Panmak Lere,
‎Mrs. Esther Gonda
‎and Dr. Sumaya Hamza
‎
‎The statement also added that the committee will be assisted by Dr. Julie Sanda and Dr. Joseph Lenmang, who will serve as the Secretariat.
‎
‎Governor Caleb Mutfwang mandated the committee to harmonise issues and concerns raised during the interaction with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to develop a comprehensive agenda for future discussions and engagements with the Presidency and relevant Federal Government agencies.
‎
‎According to the statement, the terms of reference of the committee includes, identify priority areas requiring federal government intervention and collaboration, recommend strategic measures aimed at promoting peace, unity, security, social cohesion, and sustainable development in the state, ‎liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure inclusiveness and broad-based consultations in the discharge of its assignment and submit a detailed report and recommendations to the government within (7) seven days from the date of inauguration.

‎She added that the State Government expressed confidence in the capacity, experience, and commitment of the committee members and urged them to diligently carry out the responsibility entrusted to them in the overall interest of the state.
‎
‎”This development further buttresses the commitment of the Caleb Mutfwang administration to fostering constructive engagement with the federal government toward addressing critical developmental and security concerns affecting Plateau State, she said.
