Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sworn in Leader Leneke as the Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Adamawa State.
The ceremony took place at the Council Chambers of the Government House, Yola, and was attended by top government officials, family members, and well-wishers.
Speaking after the swearing-in, Fintiri recalled his administration’s governance journey and commended Leneke for his contributions and commitment to supporting government objectives.
The governor said the choice of Leneke was deliberate and well deserved, describing the appointment as recognition of his loyalty, dedication, and service to the state and the administration.
He also urged Leneke and other party stakeholders to prepare for the forthcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections, scheduled to begin on May 15, 2026.
Fintiri called on party members to work collectively to ensure a smooth process and the emergence of credible candidates from the State House of Assembly to the presidency of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, the party remains committed to securing victory in the 2027 general elections.
In his response, Leneke thanked God for the opportunity and expressed appreciation to the governor for the confidence reposed in him.
He also acknowledged those who supported his political journey, describing Fintiri as his inspiration, and pledged to discharge his duties with diligence and commitment.
The oath of office and allegiance was administered by the State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Justice, Isuwa Misali.
