US-based Preacher Apostle Belemzy Tasks Nigerian Leaders On Fear Of God, Transformational Leadership

A United States-based Nigerian preacher, Belema Abili, popularly known as Apostle Queen Belemzy, has urged political and religious leaders in Nigeria to embrace the fear of God and adopt transformational leadership, stressing that selflessness, accountability, and godliness are key to national peace and prosperity.

Speaking on Thursday at a press conference in Abuja, she warned that corruption, insecurity, and economic hardship would continue in the country unless leaders commit to moral and spiritual reforms.

She called on leaders at all levels to prioritise the public good and focus on improving citizens’ welfare rather than personal enrichment.

“I want to be free to walk around in my country like I used to before I moved to America. This insecurity is too much. Our leaders need to have the fear of God so they will do things to help the people, and not to enrich themselves.

“All these ritual killings, kidnappings are as a result of leaders who don’t fear God, and if they will give their hearts to God, then the transformation will come.”

She also expressed concern that many political leaders were influenced by sycophantic advisers, both political and religious, who prevent them from receiving sound moral guidance.

According to her, leaders needed genuine spiritual counsel to make the right decisions.

“I also believe that those in positions of authority need to experience a true servant of God for them to go in the right direction.

“In the Bible, there was this governor called Felix, and there was this false prophet who was stopping him from making a godly decision. When a false prophet attaches himself to leaders they will make wrong decisions.

“But when a real servant of God is advising them, there will be changes. They will do things to help the people, and not to enrich themselves,” she said.

Abili, founder of Queen Belemzy Ministries–School of Power, said her ministry uses social media to spread messages of salvation, deliverance, and restoration worldwide.

She said her visit to Nigeria was divinely directed and part of efforts to contribute to the country’s moral and spiritual rebirth.

According to her, her ministry is currently holding evangelistic outreaches across different parts of the country aimed at healing, restoration, and revival.

“God said if my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and turn from their sins, then I will forgive them and heal their land.

“Let me tell you, Nigeria can be healed, it doesn’t matter if they are Muslims or Christians, they all will serve and listen to God,” she said.

She also recounted her salvation experience, noting that she was once active in church choir but not truly born again until her encounter with Jesus transformed her life.

“Back home in Nigeria, I was singing in the choir, but I wasn’t saved. I was just going to church the normal way until I encountered Jesus and my life changed,” she recalled.

She expressed optimism that Nigeria could also experience transformation just as her life was changed through her faith.
