Just months after arriving in Italy as Pisa’s most expensive acquisition ever, Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi is already being tipped for a swift exit.

With the club’s shock relegation from Serie A now confirmed, both Trabzonspor and Torino have reportedly placed the 22-year-old forward high on their summer wishlists.

Durosinmi joined Pisa from Czech outfit FC Viktoria Plzeň in a deal worth €9 million plus €2 million in add-ons—a club record for the Nerazzurri. However, the investment has yet to pay dividends.

In 12 appearances since his January move, the powerful Nigerian has managed just one goal and one assist, a return that reflects both his adjustment period and the team’s overall struggles.

Now facing the financial and competitive reality of Serie B, Pisa are ready to cut their losses. Reports in Italy indicate the club would entertain offers between €8 million and €10 million for Durosinmi, a slight discount on their initial outlay.

Turkish Süper Lig side Trabzonspor have been monitoring the striker for several weeks and are keen to bolster their attack with young, athletic talent. Meanwhile, Torino are also tracking the situation closely.

The Granata are preparing for potential changes in their forward line ahead of the 2026/27 season and view Durosinmi as a low-risk, high-upside option.

Despite his modest goal tally, Durosinmi’s physical presence, pace, and ability to hold up play have kept scouts interested.

For Pisa, selling the Nigerian this summer would free up funds and wages as they rebuild for a promotion push. For Durosinmi, a move could offer an immediate return to top-flight football—either along the Black Sea or in Turin.
