The All Progressives Congress (APC), has said there is no requirement for party members to show proof of payment of APC membership dues in order to vote in the ongoing primary elections.
APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka in a statement on Saturday said all duly registered members of the party are entitled to participate in the exercise.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) wishes to clarify that there is no requirement for Party members to show proof of payment of APC membership dues in order to vote in the ongoing Primary Elections. All duly registered members of the Party are entitled to participate in the exercise.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the requirement to show proof of payment of APC membership dues was applicable only to aspirants and their nominators during the submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms as well as during the screening exercise.
“The Party urges members and stakeholders to disregard any contrary information, and enable all duly registered party members to participate peacefully in the ongoing primary elections without hindrance,” the statement reads.
The ruling APC is conducting primary election for the 360 House of Representatives seats accross the nation.
