Kwara Gov’s Ex-Spokesman Ajakaye Defeats Incumbent Reps Member In Ward Primaries

The immediate past Chief Press Secretary to Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Dr Rafiu Ajakaye, has defeated the incumbent and two-term House of Representatives member, Hon. Ismail Kayode, in his Erin South Ward of Oyun Local Government Area.

In the official result of Erin South Ward sighted by LEADERSHIP, Ajakaye polled 707 votes to defeat nine other contestants.

The result sheet showed that Tajudeen Abioye scored 498 votes, while Ismail Kayode, the incumbent lawmaker, scored nil. Kayode AbdulHakeem polled 370 votes, Owoniyi Olaitan 40 votes, and Olaniyan Azeez 50 votes.

Others include Akintunde Shittu with 216 votes, Oyekunle Gbenga 191 votes, Ademola Bello 104 votes, and Ayoola Fakunle 25 votes.
