…Says ‘We are One Big Family, Politics Shouldn’t Divide Us’

…’Gombe is a Model of Peaceful Democratic Process’ – Committee Chairman Kafur

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has commended members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their overwhelming support, discipline and unity during the party’s direct senatorial primaries held across the state.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya, who participated in the exercise at his Jekadafari Ward in Gombe Local Government Area, described the conduct of party members as exemplary, peaceful and reflective of the maturity and strong internal cohesion of the APC.

The Governor, who was the sole aspirant and consensus candidate for the Gombe North Senatorial District ahead of the forthcoming general elections, said reports received from various Local Government Areas confirmed that the primaries were conducted peacefully and smoothly without any disruptions.

“I came to my ward to participate in and personally observe the process, despite being unopposed, and to sincerely appreciate our people for the massive support and confidence they continue to show in me and in our great party, the APC,” the Governor stated.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in the forthcoming elections, assuring supporters that the APC would remain united and focused on securing victory at all levels.

“By the grace of Almighty Allah, we will continue to strengthen our party and lead the APC to victory in the coming elections,” he added.

The Governor stressed that politics should never divide members of the same political family, emphasizing that every aspirant and stakeholder remains an important part of the APC.

“As a leader, I always encourage people to follow due process and respect the rules of the game. For me, there is no winner and no loser because everyone involved belongs to the APC family. What matters most is peace, unity and the collective progress of our party and our state,” he said.

He further expressed confidence that the peaceful atmosphere witnessed during the primaries would also be sustained during the general elections.

Earlier, the Chairman of the APC Senatorial and House of Representatives Primary Election Committee for Gombe State, Alhaji Labiru Musa Kafur, commended party members for their orderly conduct and commitment to peaceful democratic engagement.

He described Gombe State as a model for transparent and violence-free political activities, noting that the conduct of party faithful during the exercise demonstrated real political maturity and democratic culture in the state.

Several ward returning officers and party members across different wards also praised the calm atmosphere, discipline and unity displayed throughout the process.
