Following the conclusion of the party’s governorship primary, Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has called for unity among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

He urged aspirants and supporters to close ranks and work towards a common political goal.

Governor Kefas, who emerged victorious in the primary, stressed the need for reconciliation and collective action to strengthen the party ahead of future political engagements.

Addressing party stakeholders and supporters, the governor described the victory as a shared achievement and not a personal triumph.

According to him, the support of party delegates, leadership, women and youth groups, as well as other stakeholders contributed significantly to the outcome of the exercise.

He commended fellow aspirants for participating in the contest, noting that their involvement reflected democratic values and helped deepen internal party processes.

“We may have contested as aspirants, but from this moment, we move forward as one family with one purpose and one resolution. The time for contest is over, the time for unity and collective action begins now,” Kefas said.

The governor maintained that the priority of the party should now be strengthening its internal cohesion and focusing on development-driven leadership.

He assured members and supporters of his commitment to fairness, humility and continued efforts toward the welfare and progress of Taraba people.

Governor Kefas further expressed appreciation to the APC leadership at various levels, party members and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.

He added that with unity and cooperation, the party would remain better positioned to pursue its objectives, while sustaining development in the state.

The governor also offered prayers for peace, progress and stability in Taraba State and the country at large.
