British singer and songwriter Jessica Cornish, popularly known as Jessie J, has announced that she is now completely free of cancer, nearly a year after she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.
The 38-year-old artist first told the public about her illness in June 2025. After the announcement, she took a break from music and performing to have surgery.
Giving an update on her health via Instagram, the singer shared a video of herself waiting for an MRI during a routine hospital check-up.
In her post, she expressed great relief, saying she cried for hours after her doctors told her that the cancer was gone.
“Results are in, and I am cancer-free! I sobbed for hours and then exhaled for the first time in a year,” she wrote.
The pop star has always been open about her health challenges. She was diagnosed with a heart condition when she was a child, suffered a stroke as a teenager, and experienced temporary hearing loss in 2020 due to Meniere’s disease. In 2024, she also revealed that she has ADHD and OCD.
