The media team of Dr Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, has expressed appreciation to party members and residents for their support and participation during the recently concluded party primaries.

In a statement by Gwamna’s media aide, Mahmoud Muhammad, the team said the turnout of stakeholders across the state demonstrated confidence in the APC and reinforced Gombe’s reputation for political unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The statement noted that Gwamna joined party delegates and stakeholders from the 11 local government areas during the exercise.

“Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and Dr Jamilu Gwamna will always join hands with critical stakeholders to do the right thing for Gombe State. The interest of our people remains non-negotiable,” the statement quoted Gwamna as saying.

The media team also referenced comments by elder statesman Abu Ma’azu, who reportedly described the conduct of the primaries as part of Gombe’s long-standing political tradition built on consensus, maturity and dialogue.

According to the statement, such values should continue to guide younger politicians and strengthen unity within the state’s political landscape.

Gwamna’s camp further called on supporters to remain calm and united, stressing that the APC governorship candidate remains committed to inclusive governance and continuity of development efforts.

Mahmood said Gwamna was prepared to work across political divides to address key challenges facing the state, including youth unemployment, rural infrastructure deficits and healthcare delivery.

It added that he would collaborate with the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to consolidate ongoing development initiatives and expand progress if elected governor in 2027.

The media team also commended residents for maintaining peace during the primaries, saying their conduct had further strengthened Gombe’s image as a model of democratic engagement in Northern Nigeria.
