Arsenal forward Reiss Nelson has reportedly returned to the Emirates Stadium following an underwhelming loan spell at fellow London club Brentford.

The 24-year-old winger’s temporary move to the Bees has been cut short, with sources close to both clubs confirming his immediate return to his parent club.

Nelson, an Arsenal academy graduate, had hoped to gain valuable first-team experience and regular playing time during his stint at Brentford. However, he struggled to make a significant impact, failing to secure a consistent starting spot and contributing limited goal involvements during his time with the Premier League side.

His return to Arsenal raises questions about his future at the club, with competition for places in Mikel Arteta’s squad already fierce. Nelson will now likely assess his options as he looks to reignite his career. Neither Arsenal nor Brentford have yet released an official statement regarding the early termination of the loan agreement.
