El-Buba Backs Adebayo, Urges Nigerians To Reject Vote-Buying In 2027

Prophet Isa El-Buba, convener of the Initiative for a Better and Brighter Nigeria, has urged Nigerians to reject vote buying and political inducement ahead of the 2027 general elections, while declaring support for Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo.

He made the declaration at an SDP gathering of party faithful in Bauchi State, where he congratulated members for what he described as a peaceful and successful political meeting, urging them to remain united in rebuilding the nation.

El-Buba expressed concern over Nigeria’s worsening socio-economic conditions, noting that despite abundant human and natural resources, many citizens still face insecurity, unemployment, poverty and injustice.

He blamed successive leaderships for failing to unlock opportunities for young people, particularly in education, employment and economic empowerment.

“Nigeria is blessed with abundant resources, intelligent people and great potential, yet millions still suffer from insecurity, unemployment, poverty and injustice,” he said.

He said the current situation requires urgent collective action from citizens, stressing that Nigerians must take responsibility for reshaping the country’s future.

“Now is the time that we need to join forces together to rewrite history. Nigeria cannot continue to go through pain, frustration and clueless leadership,” he added.

The cleric warned against weakening democratic competition, insisting that justice, equity and fairness remain essential for national stability.

“Nigeria cannot go into a one-party state. Every system survives by justice and equity. Oppression is never the pathway to stability and peace cannot thrive in the midst of injustice,” he said.

El-Buba announced that his movement would mobilise support for Prince Adewole Adebayo in the 2027 presidential election, describing him as part of efforts to restore national values and rebuild public trust.

He also condemned vote buying, saying Nigerians are increasingly politically aware and would no longer exchange their future for temporary material gains.

“Nobody will buy the conscience of Nigeria with money or a bag of rice. Nigerians are tired, and it is time to recover the glory of our country,” he stated.

He expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, describing the current political moment as an opportunity for national rebirth and renewed leadership direction.
