JVice President Kashim Shettima is scheduled to embark on a one-day working visit to Ekiti State on Tuesday, where he will inaugurate key projects and perform groundbreaking ceremonies on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
The visit was confirmed in a statement issued on Sunday by Yinka Oyebode, Special Adviser on Media to Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
According to the statement, Governor Oyebanji and top government officials will receive the vice president on arrival at the Ekiti Agro Allied International Cargo Airport.
During the visit, Shettima will perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ekiti Knowledge Zone, a development project designed to promote innovation and technology-driven growth in the state.
He will also inaugurate the newly completed zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) located along Old Iyin Road in Ado-Ekiti.
Another major highlight of the visit is the commissioning of the 1.2-kilometre Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Flyover at Okeyinmi, one of the flagship infrastructure projects of the Oyebanji administration.
The trip marks Shettima’s second official visit to Ekiti State since assuming office as vice president.
During his previous visit in May 2024, Shettima inaugurated the Omisanjana–Deeper Life–Ajebandele Road and an MSME clinic among other projects.
The state government said adequate arrangements have been concluded for the visit, adding that it remains committed to strengthening collaboration with the Federal Government, development agencies, and the private sector to drive development across Ekiti State.
Officials also expressed confidence that the visit would further deepen federal-state cooperation on infrastructure delivery and economic development initiatives.
