Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, has said the government alone cannot bear the responsibility of educating children, stressing the need for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen the education sector.

Sani made the remarks at the weekend while inaugurating a facility built by the Christian Academy Management in Ungwan Bulus, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna.

He was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Kaduna State, Dr James Kanyip.

The governor said meaningful progress in education could only be achieved through partnerships involving government, communities, faith-based organisations and private institutions.

“The task of educating our children cannot be left to government alone.

“Meaningful progress requires collaboration among government, communities, faith-based organisations and private institutions. This is why we greatly value initiatives such as this one,” he said

Sani reiterated his administration’s commitment to working with individuals and organisations that support educational development, adding that investment in young people remains central to achieving long-term peace, prosperity and growth.

He described the newly inaugurated facility as a symbol of hope and transformation, noting that it reflects a shared effort to strengthen society through education.

According to him, education remains a vital tool for personal development, human capital growth and societal advancement.

“Every classroom built creates opportunities for learning. Every child educated strengthens our communities. Every investment in education contributes to a more prosperous future for our state and nation,” he said.

The governor said his administration places strong emphasis on education, noting that sustainable development depends on an educated and empowered population.

Since assuming office, he said the government had introduced policies aimed at improving educational infrastructure, expanding access to learning and enhancing quality across the state.

“Our goal is clear: to make education accessible, affordable and equitable for every child. This vision continues to guide government interventions across the sector,” he added.

He further noted that the facility would serve not only the host community but also as a centre for learning, character building and leadership development.

Sani expressed confidence that it would help shape young minds and equip students with the knowledge, skills and values needed to become productive citizens and future leaders.

He also commended the Christian Academy Management for its investment in education, describing it as a demonstration of social responsibility and a long-term commitment to human capital development.
