Leaders and supporters of the Accord Party in Kaduna State have restated their support for the party’s presidential candidate, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, ahead of the 2027 general election.

The endorsement came during a rally held in Kaduna on Tuesday, where party members, youth groups, women associations, and community leaders gathered in support of Olawepo-Hashim’s candidacy.

Speaking at the event, a party leader, Sabo Jimeta, referenced Olawepo-Hashim’s involvement in public affairs, his position on democratic governance, and his advocacy on economic and national issues.

He said the party believes the candidate has the experience to lead the country.

Supporters at the rally expressed support for the party’s participation in the 2027 presidential election. Participants carried banners and placards with messages backing the candidate, while chants and songs accompanied the gathering.

One of the slogans displayed at the event read: “Gbenga Hashim is the Saviour of Nigeria,” reflecting the views of some supporters at the rally.

Party officials said the Accord Party recently concluded its affirmation primaries in several states, during which Olawepo-Hashim received support from delegates and members. They said the outcome reflected internal backing for his candidacy.

Supporters at the rally said Olawepo-Hashim’s candidacy offers voters another political option focused on economic policy, industrial development, national unity, and governance. They also called on Nigerians to support candidates they believe can address the country’s challenges.

The Kaduna gathering is expected to be followed by similar mobilisation activities in other parts of the country as the Accord Party continues preparations for the 2027 general election.
