Ghanaian actor and comedian Michael Blackson has reached a custody agreement with his former partner, Nadia Beddini, over their nearly one-year-old son, Kweku.

Under the agreement, Blackson will pay $4,500 monthly in child support. He will also cover $5,000 in legal fees. The settlement was approved by a judge after both parties agreed to its terms.

The pair is said to share joint legal and physical custody of their son. This means Kweku will spend time with both parents, who will jointly make major decisions about his health, education and welfare.

Court documents also state that Blackson cannot take Kweku outside the United States without Nadia’s written consent. Nadia, however, can travel abroad with the child if she provides written notice and a travel itinerary.

The agreement follows previous public discussions about the relationship between Blackson and Nadia.
