Kaduna State Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development (KIVTSD) has said Governor Uba Sani’s administration has transformed the state into Nigeria’s skills capital within three years through massive investments in vocational and technical education.

The institute made the assertion in a statement issued at the weekend by its management and staff, led by the provost, Alhaji Husaini Muhammad, to commemorate the governor’s third year in office.

According to the statement, the governor’s vision led to the establishment of KIVTSD, a vocational training institution with three campuses across the state’s three senatorial zones and an annual training capacity of 32,000 skilled personnel.

The management said KIVTSD had rapidly emerged as one of Nigeria’s leading centres for vocational and technical skills training, equipping thousands of young people, including persons with disabilities, with globally recognised, industry-relevant skills.

The organisation said it is addressing the nation’s skills gap through practical training programmes aligned with both local and international standards.
