Mohammed Baba Abdulahi, President of the Nigeria Archery Federation, has been officially appointed to the World Archery Commonwealth Games Committee. His inclusion, announced on June 15, 2026, marks a significant step towards broader global representation within the sport’s international governance.

Mr. Abdulahi, who also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of Nigeria’s National Olympic Committee, is one of five new members confirmed by World Archery. The appointments, finalised by the World Archery Executive Board and communicated in a letter dated May 15, 2026, aim to bring diverse international expertise to the committee.

The new committee members, each representing their respective continents, include Mr. Karl Balisch (Archery Canada), Ms. Trina Roberts, Ms. Ainsley Ward (Scottish Archery), and Mr. Virendra Sachdeva (Delhi Archery Association / India). Mr. Juan Carlos Holgado will continue as the federation liaison.
