Police in Kebbi State have arrested  one Abubakar Ismail, a  manager of an ICT-JAMB centre in Zuru,  Zuru  local government  area  of Kebbi  State  the theft of 83 HP laptop computers belonging  to the  centre.

Parading the  man  before  newsmen at the  command ‘s headquarters in Birnin  Kebbi   alongside  other  arrested  criminals,  the commissioner  of  police  in the  state,  Ahmed  Magaji Kontagora,  said  the  case  was  reported  at  the  Zuru police division by  the  manager of  KEBNA ICT-JAMB Centre  Zuru, Dr Michael Ezra Dikki.

He added  that  Dikki had informed the police  that  when he visited  the  centre  he discovered  that  the  suspect  who is the  site manager  had sold  the computers  to  one Chikwudi Otutu, the owner of Otutu Computer Centre,  Sokoto  in Sokoto at N40,000 each.

The commissioner  further  stated  that  the  police  had  succeeded  in recovering 76 of  the  laptops, adding that  the  suspect  and other  arrested  criminals  would  be  charged  to  court  for  prosecution  while investigation  continued.
