The FCT City Boys Movement has congratulated the newly elected and inaugurated Area Council chairmen in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), urging them to prioritise transparent governance and effective service delivery.

Director of the movement, Hon. Bitrus Lawrence Garki, conveyed the message through the Deputy Director, Comrade Mukhtar Akoshile, during an interaction with journalists in Abuja.

Akoshile described the inauguration of the council chairmen as an important step in strengthening grassroots governance and deepening democratic participation in the FCT.

He urged the new council leaders to justify the confidence reposed in them by residents through accountable leadership and people-centred policies.

According to him, expectations among residents are high, and the chairmen must remain focused on implementing projects and programmes that improve the welfare of people in their respective councils.
