Nigerian actor Emeka Ike has sued the Independent National Electoral Commission and Lere Olayinka over the alleged release of his voter registration details.

The actor is seeking ₦10 billion in damages. He claims his privacy was breached after screenshots of his voter registration transfer appeared on X.

INEC previously stated that the information was not exposed through a cyberattack. The commission said the disclosure resulted from the misuse of internal access credentials.

Emeka Ike is asking the court to hold both parties responsible. He is also seeking the removal of the post and a public apology from Olayinka.
