The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, has called on Muslims to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, extend kindness to the less privileged and promote unity regardless of religious, ethnic or political differences.

Abubakar while congratulating Muslim faithful in Bauchi State and across the world on the commencement of the New Islamic Year, 1448AH, urged them to use the occasion for sober reflection, renewed faith and greater commitment to the teachings of Islam.

He stressed that unwavering devotion to Allah and service to humanity remain the foundation for building a peaceful, progressive and prosperous society.

In a statement issued yesterday by his media aide, Mukhtar Garba Kobi, Speaker Suleiman noted that despite the numerous challenges confronting the nation, the new Hijrah year presents an opportunity for citizens to recommit themselves to mutual respect, charity and collective responsibility.

“Our beloved country is faced with numerous challenges, but as we begin a new Hijrah year, let us embrace mutual respect, philanthropy and a sense of shared responsibility. Through unity, devotion and meaningful contributions to society, we can overcome our challenges and build a nation we can all be proud of,” he said.

The Speaker prayed for Allah’s guidance, protection and abundant blessings upon Muslims throughout the new year and urged leaders at all levels to govern with justice, compassion and accountability.

He also commended the developmental strides and purposeful leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, describing his administration’s achievements as beneficial to the people of Bauchi State.

Speaker Suleiman further advised parents to give priority to the moral and religious upbringing of their children by enrolling them in religious schools and providing proper guidance whenever they stray from acceptable conduct.

According to him, such efforts are essential to nurturing a morally upright and spiritually grounded society.

He expressed appreciation to the people of Bauchi State for their prayers and support for the 10th Bauchi State House of Assembly and assured them of the legislature’s continued commitment to enacting laws and policies that will improve the welfare and living conditions of citizens.
