Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma used Father’s Day this year to shine a spotlight on his wife, Kris Asimonye, crediting her for shouldering much of the parenting load alongside him.

Posting a set of pictures of the pair together, the entertainer offered a humorous nod to the trials of raising youngsters today. He poked fun at how children from the Gen Z and Gen Alpha generations tend to take questions literally rather than recognising when a parent is simply trying to assert authority through rhetorical remarks, much to his exasperation and amusement.

He rounded off the post by thanking his wife for effectively splitting the responsibilities of fatherhood between them, framing the day as a joint celebration rather than one centred solely on himself.

The witty tribute struck a chord with followers, many of whom said they recognised the same generational clash in their own households.
